through half the taquerias y fondas
half the health clubs, half of the saunas
half the Barbaras, half of the Rhondas <-------- women's names.
is there something there?
No I do not think they are womans' names because of the album being recorded in Mexico City it has some Spanish influence. Bares are bars and Rondas are rounds or possibly a dancing type of club.

I think it's a reference to girls named in Beach Boys songs - "Help Me Rhonda" and "Barbara Ann." It'd fit with the California theme too.
