i hate this song. i get it, but i hate it. i hate cheerleaders. i dont wish death upon anyone, but everyone dies. why should anyone care any more if a cheerleader dies than if a taxi driver or bum dies?
I don't think the intent is to say that a cheerleader's life is worth more than anybody else's. if you notice that he keeps spelling out words and saying thing like "push 'em back". It kind of comes off a bit sarcastic to me at points "tomorrow's the funeral, l-e-t-s g-o"

It's definitely not saying cheerleaders are more important. It's pointing out the fact that anyone, even seemingly happy kids, can fall victim to depression and suicide. Since cheerleaders are viewed as being outgoing, fun-loving and happy, it takes an unexpected tragedy such as this, to make people wake up and realize it can happen anyone. We (people) need a punch in the face to take something serious, such as teen depression and suicide, as opposed to just a lite poke. All the while walking around pretending everything is alright.
