wow I can't believe no one has commented this yet. I first heard this song in "All About Steve" and I loved it.
To me this song is describing a woman that dances to her own drum, not caring what people think about her. Then a man comes along that is also unique and they fall in love. Because they're both are so out-of-the-ordinary, they haven't fallen in love before by saying "it was all strange and new".
I could be wrong but that's what I get out of this song.
