There's a park in San Francisco and a beautifully filthy lake in Oakland. Those two places really inspired the imagery. There's some dark humor in this one. Never felt it was an angry song. We recently played it in San Jose and got booed and flipped off. A great reaction for a simple song written on a bad day four years ago."
@jackieg39 I was at that show! It was at the SJSU event center if I'm not mistaken. They were opening for The Killers on their Day & Age tour. I listened to Wild Light to prep for the show and fell in love with their album. I was so bummed when the crowd booed during that song. It's such a banger. Nevertheless, they played a great set. I still listen to Adult Nights all the time. It's a shame they didn't continue on to make more records. Their first is a classic, in my opinion.
