Actually, I have to disagree with the "got all these words, can't waste them on another" explanation above me, just because of the word choice "another."
He's not saying, we don't need words, but we don't need to waste the words we should be saying to each other to other people. That's why it's not "can't waste them on EACH OTHER" or "can't waste them on ONE another." It's another (person). The last stanza proves this one: "got all this love, can't waste it on another." Following the logic of them not needing to speak, it would also imply them not need to love.
