I love this song so much. The title is somewhat ironic, but basically it's true, true if you accept the message the song conveys. And that message is one of optimism and solidarity. Spelled like that it's just one of those pompous statements that "big" punk bands make, it's something you'd dismiss at first glance. But, actually, the punks do win. Because as long as we stand by each other and help each other out, we'll beat them. I think that's what the chorus is about: poison river, got a paddle, and ill never , leave without ya.

Everything sucks, but I won't leave you behind. And whenever you think that the game is done and that they've won, new hope arises. There is someone to pull you out of the mud. And that's what punk is about. It's about politics, and about music, sure, but it's also about community and support, it's about when you're felling down and you're broke and everything looks black and then you feel that spark again. It's about knowing that your friends will help you through it. It's about knowing that there's a community behind you. It's about knowing that, wherever you go, there will be a community to help you. That there'll be a family. And it's also about love. That lyric that says: its then i realize our romance has its roots in one sub-humans patch. It says more about punk love than anything else I've ever heard or read, because it's true. It's those little things that bring us together, that make it possible to build lasting relationships, be it friendship or romance. And it's that that they'll never take from us. Our ability to band together and support each other. And in that sense, truly, the punx do win.
