to me, it's a conversation with an ex. it starts off with:

and ends up trying to describe what it feels like to be in a relationship with someone who just absolutely 'gets' you (soulmate - maybe). someone who just turns your head and internal organs into mush and you can literally feel your heart pounding in your chest when you see her or talk to her on the phone.
& omg, does she do this to me... i just think about her while at work or at the mall, etc... and i d@mn-near fall to my knees. 'she bangs the drums' d@mn hard, and i can't help falling in line.

Even when the ex really can't be an ex due to the 'relationship' it was, I hope the one banging those drums keeps the guy (or girl) happy for a very long time. Love, lust, and friendship combined are rare relationships...very special, especially in this period of history. May we one day find what he has apparently found :D
