I'm not sure what this song is exactly about but i've just interpreted it is being about being tired of the rush of life. I look to the line "Oh the young and the old they get ev'ry thing and it's my turn" Children and Seniors get to relax and enjoy themselves while people in between have to get out there and work each and every day and I guess it can be tiring.
It also feels like she feels entitled to something better in life with the whole "i'm here i'm someone to know" line. I dunno though just my take.
