one times a friend of mine told me heavier music (I guess punk and metal?) is for showcasing your prowess with your instrument but doesn't have very much emotion or thought put into it. I thought of this song and told her to promptly shut the fuck up.
I don't mind the idea that musicians are playing just to play their instruments... "Emotion or thought" as is it seems laid out here usually amounts to senseless wanking to me... Tell your friend to go read a damn book. I have more to say, but I just can't get it straight right now. More later maybe
