I was kinda skeptical going into this song, not being religious at all and one might see why the title "saviour" might put me off. but i found it on youtube the day of its release, and played it for the rest of the day. i stayed up till midnight for the release of the video and watched that for a while. oh and its the top played song on my iTunes. by a landslide. and at 2:21 i get chills everytime. when she says save me, i feel like saying pick an organ its yours. lol.
but meaning wise i agree with LovelyMauve. we all need that one person to run to, that can make us feel safe with. that we can do the stuff we did as kids with and be alright with that. its alright to feel not in control when you're with this person because you feel like they can help right wrongs and shake off the dust thats turned you to rust.
Sorry to contradict, but the song seems to be more about The Savior rather than just A Savior.
This comes from the fact that she is Christian, she mentions something missing, holding on to things she knows she shouldn't but putting them in the back of her head so she doesn't see it, and having to chose and its hard to chose right because you want to be in control, and then breaking off the chains and being free.
This song screams Christian.
