I think this song is not as much about noticing that there's someone in love with you,
but I think it's more about noticing which people are good for you.
How often do people fall in love with someone with whom they know it will never work out?
And how long does it take for them to get over that?
And how long will it take them to realize that the person they always go to
when it hasn't worked out yet again,
really is 'the right one,' as Jason puts it?
This song kinda reminds me of Madame Bovary. She was such an ass that she only realized
when she was dying that her husband was the only one who ever really loved her. None of
her stupid lovers who disappointed her aaaall the time did, but yeh, it was too fucking
late at that time. She could have been happy if she just realized that before.
Just make sure something like that never happens to you, count your blessings, be content
with what you have, don't fucking waste your precious time on people who'll only misuse you.
