This song is NOT about heroin. I don't read the bible, but I've read this passage elsewhere, clearly this song has meaning, and is highly symbolic, and everyone who doesn't understand any particular song can say that anything is about drugs or sex.

This song is about Satan, and his descent to Hell (his "dive" and "holy" diver, as Satan was once an angel). The lyrics deal specifically with Revelations 12:9 where Satan was cast to the earth. The tiger is symbolic of the wild beast that comes out of the sea, as mentioned in Revelations 13:1.

If you are familiar with ANY of Dio's other pieces, you would find the underlying theme of telling stories and his fascinations with Satan.
