I thought it was about a loss of innocence too. Bonnie went through a lot when she was a teenager it looked like, and finally things came to a head and maybe everyone was saying how everything would get better, but she just doesn't feel she has the energy to turn things around "they say that i'll heal by the day, but the message i give kills off all will to live, I'm afraid that i'm loosing my way".
