I think the lyrics are pretty obvious (and fantastic). But i also think there's a deeper meaning in the actual tune. The song begins with a steady base. Nothing special. Then, all of a sudden, these high guitar picks jump in. It's almost like the base is all his buddies and family saying "what a stupid thing to do," and he starts agreeing with them.
