to me i see the poor man as a metaphor for the scared person inside of all of us,
yes i understand that the homeless man is a actually person but i just feel like it also represents the vunerabilty in all of us.
that we all have that fear of death, some point in our life,
but that we should not fear it because we always have jesus.
that he can help you out of "this lake you are clearly drowning in"
if we just accept him

but about death itself.
because on your death, it'll be the end of all our own peraonal world's sin.
and that death is not a bad thing, just an inevitable part of life,
and to embrace it because it is good news, when you finally reach the end and are at peace about it.
