The album ‘Blue Finger’ is about the life and works of Dutch musician, painter and media personality Herman Bood (pronounced ‘Hairmon Broat’),I think the album cover is one of his paintings. who due to depression over his drug use and his break-up with his wife committed suicide at the age of 54, on 11 July 2001, by jumping from the roof of the Amsterdam Hilton Hotel.

So yes, this song is about suicide, drug use and depression.
