This song is about a guy who has depression but seems to be blaming his other half in the first part of the song where he says:" Is it a blast for you" implying she is the one who is to blame for the state he is in. But by the end of the song he turns it on himself by saying: "Its not a blast for me." Very subtle changes to the words confirm his own realisation that most people blame depression on others until they realise it themselves then they are more able to look for help in treating it. His description of "putting cellophane around my mouth to stop the anger seeping out" is a great description for how you feel when you are depressed. You blame everyone else except yourself. Robbie has had bouts of deprssion so his first hand account of it is spot on in my view.
