This song means a lot to me. The last girl I dated our song was actually "Let Her Cry" and when we broke up she started dating other guys that always hurt her and made her cry and eventually she started going to AA. One of the guys she dated was my friend Chris who loves to drink. Now every time I hear that line: "sitting at a bar with Chris and I can't leave 'cause my house ain't no home, no." It makes me think of how if I were to go to a bar with my friend I wouldn't be able to go to where she is because of the alcohol, leaving my house empty and not feeling like a home.
