It mightn't have anything to do with the meaning of the song but the song title 'Kilby' reminds me straight away of Steve Kilbey of The Church. Being an Australian indie band I'm sure they've drawn some influence from bands like The Church so it could seem fitting. The lyrics really don't seem to represent anything like that though...just a thought.
