Gonna disagree with most people here. I think this is faith, or rather a lack thereof.
"Oh God, I can't believe in you Just because I'm afraid you're true"
Remember, she's Norwegian. Her English is damned good, but I think she meant to say something more like...
"Oh God, I can't believe in you Just because I'm afraid you're REAL"
This is directed to god. She's saying that fear of punishment isn't enough to make her believe in him.
They say that most Norwegians go to church 3 times in their life, and three of those times they're carried. (Baptism, wedding, funeral).
