This song is so odd. When I hear the first line "A what a day/Boy next door passed away/Oh, it makes me wanna say,'hey I don’t wanna waste another day,'" I thought the song would be about how live is short and how we need to love the people around us while they are still with us. I find it creepy the rest of the song is about sex. Not that I think sex is meaningless or a way to love some one but the song seem to be more about lust and repopulating then love.

I love Utada music but this is not one of her better songs.

It is about love. And sex. To put it bluntly. It's about how life is too short, and you only have one. Once this is over, it's just over. You never come back and get any second chances. You're only young once - your skin is only young, tight, beautiful and wrinkle-free for a short amount of years. And although people do enjoy their lives still when older, it's just not exactly the same. You will never get the years 20-40 years old back once they're gone.
