Jack White talked about taking music and stripping it down to it's most basic form and while doing so I believe he's also looking at it strangely like a learning child. He's making it very simple for anyone wanting to learn to play the guitar to play some cool riffs. He's saying that things aren't as complex as they seem and can be very very simple. If you listen to his songs you'll hear many other bands influence, AC/DC and Deep Purple and ZZ Topp and Nirvina and even Pink Floyd, some which are barely recognizable but the influence is clearly there. Mixed with old style blues and in his own voice it comes off like little boy blues, which I believe was his aim. You can see he wanted to create a family in introducing himself and Meg as brother and sister and often refers to his fans like they're children. You can't look that deep into what he's saying though because I think he's more concerned about the guitar sound.
