I think the third line in first verse is Self assured is what's known as commonplace.

Dressing down the passers by Ignoring the situation And how we're not willing to Accept disorder.

I think 'so common ground' may be 'some common ground'.

And so it's all in our creation We detach and simplify It's all in our creation Cause we dance around in disguise.

Just try to make amends And find a safe place To turn
