I think the "baby" that's being brought up in this song is Katharine Hepburn not the leopard like in the movie. This song contains personal details of Hepburn's life that doesn't relate to the movie or her character in the movie. Like the first two lines, "Sweetens her tea with jam" Katharine used to sweeten her tea with strawberry jam instead of sugar and "Takes five baths a day" Katharine claimed to take five baths a day to help her think. It also mentions her long term relationship with Spencer Tracy and how they complimented each other so well people started to think of them as one person, like Angela Landsbury for instance, "I began to think of them as one person, really. I suppose most people did."

The band made a couple of factual errors. Cary Grant's character in Bringing Up Baby is not called "John", but David and Katharine Hepburn's character never called up David on the phone to ask him what day it is.
