This song is about an activist reaching a point in life when they (i've) feel like they done everything to learn and grow and educate other people about the movement. But my life is only so long, when capitalism has it's teeth engrained into our culture, people continue to shop or disregard and revolutionary changes. I think this song is about just giving into the culture that we (i've) been raised in. I agree with the interpretation before me, but to me this song is about reaching this point when you can only control your own thoughts and feelings, lazy and passive americans will just continue to want more for less.
