This song is a call to Christians of all kinds and from all places to unite and be strong; to not waste a moment in spreading Christ’s teachings to the rest of the world. Life is short, we are all mortal, and there is no time to be fighting one another or letting people’s lives slip by without Christ in them. The song is more about how things should be than how they are.
