My favorite song off of Artwork :D I think it's absolutely beautiful and extremely powerful, the way that they sampled kissing you goodbye.
I have a slightly different interpretation, however.
To me, it's about a guy who's either depressed, or bipolar, or has some sort of mental disorder.
And he and a girl are completely in love.
But, he can feel himself changing, or spiralling deeper into his depression. But, he can't explain to her why he's suddenly depressed and distant, which upsets her. So, he leaves her, thinking that she'll be better off without him. And then, he realizes too late that that was a stupid idea, but she's gone. So, he kills himself because he's miserable without her but he wants her to move on.
I have not heard a better interpretation of any song.
