I don't know, I thought of "stung" as like, a bee sting, something that hurt him. He's young, he's dumb, and he's damaged. Okay maybe not damaged, but I don't think it means drunk. Just that he's been through shit, he's no stranger to pain, and though he's young and dumb, he's not inexperienced and he's got enough sense because life knocked sense in to him with everything that's been thrown at him.
At least, that's how I like to twist the words to revolve around me, which is what I do to as many songs as possible to make them more personal. shrugs
