For me, it seems to be awaiting a tide that will overtake any freedom or happiness you have, and the tide is done by you yourself as you are the forsaker. The chorus says it all, specifically "give up your right to find your true self" which is what we all are on earth for - to define ourselves but if we give up that right to find ourself, what's left but an image formed by ourselves and others? Forsake your own reasons - forsake that which you makes you sane, you whole and rational for release into whatever you are fighting against.
"The hand bleached by snowfall (what a line!) says the leader is gone or the leader is unreachable because of the snowfall. Perhaps, this is your soul or whatever you want to believe it to be.
"Opposition is drugged" - This is a strange line, but for me, I see the opposition as myself and so if part of me is drugged, then it won't fight but take me down with it.
The first verse is hard to interpret. "Rage from a distance" could mean unexpressed rage that reoccurs mentally and the person you are mad at or the act you are mad about is long gone. The unfamiliar name - you. Your name is who you are. "Time set for rewind" could mean the replaying of what happened that set off the rage within. I don't know. For me, it is a song about internal struggles and the desire to give up and forsake your entire being.
