I love this song. It reminds me of what me, and my love went through. This song seems like a man has unquestionable darkness in his life, whether it be depression, nasty spirits after him, or just something dark in general haunting him. He feels like he can't go on in life anymore, and just wants to end it. He wanted to be strong for her, and she gave him strength. He wanted to be with her forever, and that got him past his death wish...his love for her. He made her feel like everything was worth it in the end, even through all the things that he went through. I think that me, and my boyfriend could both relate to this from both points of view.
