I think i differ with you just a lil bit KVC. It seems she likes her life, and he thinks she's better than that. She has her money and her dancing and no love and he thinks she is trying not to be lonely. She likes him too because when she gets too far gone with drugs\alcohol she calls on him and he runs to her rescue but when the morning comes she can't remember who saved her from herself and he remains silent cause it would be best. (As someone on her side of the industry... we meet 100's of men wanting to take us out of the business) She might even realize that he wants to save her but to become dependent on him would be bad.
So he's almost giving up on the fight by just allowing her to live her life and then join in with all the other men who throw their ones up in the air for her in hopes that in the end it'll get her out of Houstalantavegas.
I love how he combined the names of big cities cause it makes the song seem like its about any guy in love with a girl he can't have in this business, and it could be about any stripper in the US who is chasing money.
