My interpretation of the song is that a girl is in love with a guy... she has been for a long time. They still aren't together, but she still feels that this relationship is worth all the pain that she experiences everyday. He takes all the love from her, but doesn't give her any in return. No matter what anyone says, she still longs for him to love her. She knows that this relationship is wrong for her, but she can't let go.
