This song is about feeling guilty about something that isn't actually wrong.
Glen tells a story, in relation to the song, about a friend of his that is a paranormal investigator and exorcist of sorts.
One day she told him that her husband had been getting possessed by two souls who simply kept repeating "We come from the dark", over and over again. Over a matter of time she discovered that the two souls were two young disabled teenage boys who were burnt at the stake in the 1400's in Ireland.
When asked why it had taken them so long to come forward, they replied that they'd been walking all that time through absolute darkness when, in the distance, two pricks of white light appeared. Those pricks were the back of her husbands eyes, and they'd been walking all that time feeling like they were evil, and wrong, and guilty.
