When i listen to the words i hear "Don't let me drown Don't let me down" and "i tried to be i can't get you out of my lonely mind i'm suffering let me drown" so I think he's battling with himself in his mind whether to let go or hold on..."dont let my drown" then " let me drown"..thats just what i hear and think of when i listen to it.
