Ok, so let's clear this up. The song is not about a person who has done you wrong. It's about recovery. Eloise is a fill in the blank, whether it be alcohol, drugs, sex. basically it's about admitting your addiction and getting the courage to let go of it, and recover from the damage it has done to you and you're loved ones. "And mad with power I’ve seen corrupt, the leaders of this nation Stricken with, the sickly imitation of a love, the Lord would never stitch" one of my favorite lines. the sickly imitation of a love the lord would never stitch is a reference to the self-fabricated "love" of the thing you are addicted to. the power that has been seen corrupting leaders of the nation is the sense of invincibility that you get from your high, and i myself being an addict, can completely relate with this.

if there was a 'like' button i would click it ha

Yet that's exactly what Max said it was about: a person. Getting over a person.
