I think the song might have something to do with all the stuff around one of the band members leaving the band a few years ago. It seems like there was a lot of fighting and that they guy who left felt like it didn't affect the remaining members as much as it did him and he then said some things publicly. This might be their answear back, that it actually affected them too, even if they didn't speak out about it.
And now they are getting older, and thay want to put it in the past and move on. Either as friends once again or just let go of the bad feelings.
