Second, It was the betrayer who almost all of us turned against, rather than me. But one way or the next, it was the end of a union. A union that was obviously formed for the wrong reasons. The guy in this story lost everything "the protagonsist became the hero they disdain". It's kinid of an analogy, showing how he was left alone and betrayed.
