English is my secondary language, and I wondered if someone could help me interpret explain this line:
"From reality I just can't drift"
If I understand him right, he means that he can't visit the "real" reality if he doesn't light/smoke his spliff? Like if he only sees the real version of life when he's high?
Or does he mean the opposite?

This means that he is locked into his problems ( REALITY) and can not (DRIFT) because he can not relax or dream.
