There is optimism here and yes it's about a rebirth/cleansing that will eradicate our old ways and hopefully allow a new clean life. Perhaps Millenium is a metaphor for the corruption and injustice that we presently live in and Jazz sings of the day the powerful natural force comes and cleanses the unjust society we live in.
