Letting others in close to us gives them the power to hurt us. I'm doing what I can to grow out of this philosophy, but it's still buried down there and to this day, I keep to myself by default before catching my bad habit and sharing my pain with those I love, who want to help. At any rate, this song makes me feel simultaneously more isolated, as well as less so. It's also fucking fantastic.
