I really like this IM' song, its awesome...
unlike Journeyman7 i think that this song is not about politicians, but about a relationship...
tough its more likely to be on politics since IM didn't or almost didn't wrote about love, but their anti-politic songs are abundant, but it depends on you and your perspective :)

Anyway, the desert is a desolated place, and for my opinion symbolize the soul of the two friends\lovers, they had a fight or they are experiencing problems in their relationship, and now they both suffer...
