To me, this song is about obviously a relationship that has fallen apart but he is still in love with her.

He might still see her, or keep in contact, and although this is good, it still hurts him, "Ripping it up on the chords, Playing my heart"
I also have been looking around at other versions of these lyrics (yes it's a hard song to understand in some bits!) and I think instead of "But I gotta feature" I think it says "My analogue feature" but I'm not sure. It's a tricky song!
