At first: This is a great song and I love it.
And sry for my English not being perfect, I'm German and this is just school-English.
Here's what I think:
"The end's not near, it's here" means that there may have been a "announcement" that the end is near. but now it's there/here, it's inevitable.
Not even the "martyrs with better ways..." will stop it. This verse is even more sarcastic than the first one that RMV1300 descriped pretty well.
And that's when both the music and the meaning turns. in the 3rd verse the autor describes his own feelings. He is hiding from what is about to come.
"They can't see everything on earth
With the satellites and the roving drones"
"They" is the Government, the men behind the curtain, the men that WANT to both see and control everything. Global Government, Enslavement, NWO, the kingdome come.
And while the martyrs are dieing, the saints are hiding.
A very true song.
