It's almost as if she's in denial about being heart broke or that she still loves him, but deep down she knows he does.
She compares the heart break to a paper cut to make it seem like it isn't much pain & that it doesn't mean much. To me it's clearly obvious she knows she's crushed & that it hurts.
I think she's just helping herself to move on faster:)
