I agree with you stop pretending and cault and I am equally surprised at the lack of comments on this truly amazing song. I just saw Built to Spill last night and they played this song which was the main song I really wanted to hear live. It was so raw and filled with emotion and for me it was the peak of their performance. That being said seeing them live was one of the best experiences of my life.
Living in the moment is all we have to truly grab a hold of life and live it in its fullest. People spend too much time being a slave to the clock either wishing miserabe time away or wishing for old times to come back. Making the best of every moment no matter where you are is the way to live.
People dont realize what an incredibly silly idea "possesion" is. In this society of greed and consumers people actually believe they own a segment of land and have the right to buy and sell it. We belong to the land not the other way around. I believe that is where the line "this would still feel dumb back where your from" comes from.
