Not sure about this song as a whole, but the line "Snaps of a life we had in the garden" seems another instance of a yearning or look back to a better time.
Agree on that one.
The next line could either mean that they tore up the flowers, thus destroying their own 'Eden' or just destroying things out of frustration.
