I think this song, like many of the songs written by james, can be interpreted in different ways...i think thats what he wants people to do. So keeping that in mind i think that it depends how you want to look at it. none of you guys were probably wrong, it could be about suicide bombers or about a car crash, or maybe it coudl be about him kickign his addiction [see the end in me](i know cliche -.- but w/e) or it could be about his fear of fading away and metallica loosing its place as the famous band that it is [fear thy name extermination]. or maybe it could be about a fear of death...he said it himself the songs in the album deal with death.... peoples fear of death and so on. it just depends how you look at it.
