Haha, I know it does. In any other situation besides
this one, I'd be the one to tell other people to just "move on".
Except for this one ofcourse. They were my favorite band,
and the fact that they're changing so drastically, well I can't
really grasp the idea that I won't be hearing the same kind of
music from them anymore. I know it happened a long time ago,
but it's affecting me now cause I can actually see the result and
notice the change. I dunno, they're still good and the new album
will probably grow on me, just cause I can't just completely
stop liking MP, but the lack of double vocals and the different
lyrical style just makes me feel like they're a whole nother band.
I almost want them to change their band name, haha. But yeah.
Sorry, I get emotional about the smallest things, rofl.
i completely agree with you. i still like the the band and their new style will probably grow on me. but the thing that made this band different from other bands was their unique voices and their double vocals and with that gone it's not that same

yes, i regret that the unique voice has gone. i mean, the first time i heard their new song, and i was completely stunned that it is so different. the new sound is great, but with jason, it's better. but yeah, i'm not being a whiner, but it's true. derek sounds great. but it sound just like any other band. i keep supporting them though.

Yeah, it's hard to get over even still. They used to pretty much be their own genre. Six band members with two lead singers, a drummer, a bassist, and three guitarists. It used to be a completely unmatched sound. But now that Jason has formed Go Radio, I've kind of picked them up as the replacement for the old Mayday. Sure they don't have two lead singers but it's really Jason's lyrics that set Go Radio apart from the current Mayday Parade. And sure we all want to see a reunion but it's kind of like a divorce in that...

We want them back together but we know that they probably wouldn't work the same anymore so it's so selfish for us to wish that upon them. I think it's safe to say that the old Mayday Parade and it's own genre is probably dead for good.
