I think it's quite obvious what this song's about really. :)I think it's meant to be seen as a homosexual song but you could also relate to it even if you weren't gay. I think this song really sums up the overwhelming feeling you get when you first really like someone and you're just trying to make sense of why you feel like this. And all the sexual indicitations eg. "Wanna fly to a place where it's just you and me Nobody else so we can be free." Just wanting to be alone with them forever etc etc.
I think if you cut off the last bit of the song then it could be seen as a non-gay song but the "mother looking at me, tell me what do you say have i lost my mind?" is meant to like illustrate the shock and abuse people get when people find out that they are bi/lesbian/gay.
