Doesn't Have to Be This Way

interesting, I would have to wager that this may be about a lover that has so much emotional baggage, but passes themselves off as having a great amount of wisdom gained through the pain of their past, a past that they cannot, or will not let go of. As its commonly known this obviously affects the current relationship in a negative way, so much so that every relationship is doomed until they let this old pain go, just a guess though, I certainly do hope this song gets more comments I am interested to hear what people think
